Research is something every resident will have experienced when they leave our program. It is important not only to help you decide about career aspirations, but also to help you understand how to interpret the literature. You will be required to participate in the preparation of at least 1 publishable study during your residency tenure.

In the past, 1/2 of our residents publish in the peer-reviewed literature and another 1/3 publish in a non peer-reviewed journal or book. There are multiple resources, both within and without the Department, with which to make a research project happen.

Please contact Dr. Alan Storrow if you have additional questions about the resident research requirement.
