Vanderbilt Emergency Medicine

The Pediatric Emergency Department has 35 patient care areas and 2 trauma bays.  The department is staffed by attending physicians, (both Peds Emergency & Emergency), residents, social workers, and child life specialists. The nurses are highly skilled in pediatrics and maintain that expertise through the population we serve.  We feel an environment that specifically focuses on the emergent needs of children relieves some of the anxiety for both the parent and the child.
