Dr. McCoin is a native Nashvillian. She received her B.S. from Vanderbilt University in 1999. She is an AOA graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (2003) and completed her residency training at Vanderbilt as well, serving as Chief Resident 2006-2007. Currently, Dr. McCoin serves as the Assistant Residency Director with a focus on resident education.

Dr. McCoin taught dance for many years and also performed with Gaylord Entertainment at Opryland, Inc. Her husband, Patrick, is a real estate agent for Newmark Homes. She also has a 6 month old daughter, Catherine.
