Dr. Obremskey graduated from Duke University and UNC Medical School. She then pursued a Masters in Public Health in Maternal and Child Health. She completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Washington, Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. She practiced for three years in Tucson, AZ where she was active in pediatric office research and promoted asthma awareness and treatment. She was then in pediatric private practice in North Carolina and an Associate Professor at UNC School of Medicine for four years before moving to Nashville in 2002. She lives here with her husband, an orthopedic trauma surgeon, and three children. She is active in her children's schools and in supporting Centerstone Therapeutic Preschool. She enjoys tennis, running, attending all of her children’s sporting events and playing the violin.
