Vanderbilt University Department of Emergency Medicine offers a one year, comprehensive, EMS fellowship to physicians who have successfully completed a residency in emergency medicine. The fellowship offers exposure to all aspects of prehospital care. A fellow is trained by nationally renown lecturer, educator, chairman, and NFD medical director, Dr. Corey Slovis.

The fellowship adequately trains the physician for a career as a medical director. Exposure to the administrative aspects of a successful EMS system as well as responsibility for resident education as the director of the resident rotation is paramount to the experience. Those interested will be involved in all aspects of prehospital care, resident and student education, as well as research.
