Dr. Bracikowski came to Vanderbilt in 1993 to direct the new Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She is a graduate of SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. After two years of research on pediatric vaccines, she worked part-time in private practice and part-time in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. In 1989, she became a full-time faculty member of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and then became co-director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Department. She joined the Department of Orthopaedics in 2004. She has a special interest in Pediatric Orthopaedics and the treatment of fractures and sport injuries.
